Le bonnet du "fou"

Plan 93 : 1h 25' 45" : (11ème flash-back en noir et blanc. 3ème série.) Dans une rue jonchée de feuille, le Poète endormi au milieu de la chaussée se redresse. Il se relève. Il marche droit vers nous. Il traverse un petit carrefour. Il continue de marcher droit devant lui. Il passe devant une armoire à miroir. (93b) Il retourne vers l'armoire : (en off) il parle avec la voix "du Fou" : "Pourquoi penser à cela, j'ai trop de soucis … Mon Dieu, pourquoi ai-je fait ça … Ce sont mes enfants, ma famille, mon sang(…)" Il est devant l'armoire. Il ouvre la porte de l'armoire. En reflet dans le miroir, nous distinguons "le Fou", sans son bonnet (comme lors de la libération par les gendarmes) (93d). Le poète ferme la porte brusquement (93 e). Sans transition. Nous passons à la seconde partie du rêve :
